Clinison Medical Centre (CMC) Soroti joined hundreds of community members on 14th November 2025 to mark World Diabetes Day, taking part in a medical camp that brought health services closer to the people who need them most.
The event, organised by Lions Club Soroti, was more than just a health outreach - it was a moment of learning, connection, and shared responsibility in the fight against diabetes.
Residents from across Soroti gathered to receive health checks, ask questions, and better understand how to prevent and manage chronic illnesses.
Driven by its commitment to community well-being, CMC Soroti stepped in as an active partner through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The team offered support throughout the camp and worked hand-in-hand with organisers to ensure everyone who turned up was attended to with care and respect.
CMC provided a number of important health screenings that helped many people gain clarity about their health status.
These included:
Blood pressure checks
HIV testing
Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg) testing
Random Blood Sugar (RBS) tests
For many attendees, these screenings were an opportunity to detect conditions early and receive guidance on the next steps to take - a reminder that good health begins with knowing your numbers.
The medical camp also showcased strong teamwork across the health sector, with partners such as Opuyo Medical Centre, Soroti Regional Referral Hospital, and Hon. David Calvin Echodu (Aspiring MP for Soroti West Division) joining efforts to serve the community.
Organisers applauded Clinison Medical Centre for its openness to collaborate and its willingness to show up for the community.
They expressed hope for more joint outreach programs in the future, noting that such partnerships help bridge health gaps and give people access to lifesaving information.
Clinison Medical Centre Soroti’s involvement in this year’s World Diabetes Day medical camp reflects its growing role as a partner in community health.
Through outreach, patient support, and a strong spirit of service, CMC continues to extend compassionate healthcare beyond its walls — touching lives and building a healthier Soroti for all.
